The Holy Palo (Bursera Gravelolens) literally "sacred wood" is a tree that grows in the Amazonian rain forests of Ecuador and Peru. It belongs to the same family of Copale, myrrh and incense. Its wood, leaves and oil have been used for thousands of years by indigenous shamans to heal the body and soul, purify the spaces, eliminate negative energies and prepare for meditation and purification.

Goloka incense sticks are handcrafted with 100% natural ingredients, made with the technique Masala, where incense are handcrafted as per ancient tradition, mixing wooden and vegetable powders such as resins, herbs, roots and bark, flowers, essential oils and honey.

This precious amalgam is then rolled up on bamboo sticks and dried in the shade to create the incense sticks, or compacted until the shape of the cones is obtained.
