Shungite is a black stone, over 2 billion years, similar to coal. It is a single natural formation largely made up of coal (98%) in the form of Fullereni. The shungite has absorbent properties (i.e. absorbs substances of an organic nature) and antibacterial, as well as high shielding properties from electromagnetic radiation. It is used as protection against electromagnetic pollution of computers.

This stone has been used in medical treatments since the early 18th century. Peter the Great, established the first spa in Russia in Karelia's reason, where the purifying properties of the shungite were used, which he himself had experienced.
