Black tea Darjeeling Tgfop1 Margaret's Hope SF (2nd harvest) - Short leaf rolled up with golden tips and sprouts
Mountain Indian black tea cultivated in the Darjeeling region, in the Margaret's Hope garden in the North Valley of Kurseong, at a height of about 1,800 meters.
Margaret's Hope gardens are among the most renowned, created in Darjeeling by the British in 1864. Their reputation is linked to the excellence of high altitude tea. Softness and floral notes represent the figure of this summer harvest tea, which expresses the special flavor of Moscata grapes in infusion.
The champagne of tea!
INFUSION: 3 minutes at 90-95º
Dosage: 1 and a half teaspoon in 200 ml of water
Recommended use: Pure
Depending on the variety, black tea has several degrees of intensity. The lighter the tea is, the shorter the infusion time must be. In general, the tea left in infusion up to 2 minutes has a stimulating action, while if you exceed 5 minutes the effect will be relaxing.
Black tea in general contains tannins, minerals, vitamins, essential oils and caffeine: the latter is slowly released by the body, unlike what happens with coffee. The tannins have a soothing effect on the stomach.
