China Rose Tea is a very fine Congou 'tea flavored with rose petals. The word 'Congou' derives from corruption in the time of the archaic term 'Hung-ff' which in Chinese means 'the one who helps time and fatigue'. The tea called with this term indicated a precious product that was used - unlike the green tea in common use - only when particular occasions allowed it.
